Celebrating A Legacy of Liberty!

Step back in time and celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America's Freedom at the historic Peter H. Peirce Homestead during Celebrating A Legacy of Liberty—an unforgettable afternoon honoring the spirit, sacrifice, and resilience of the American Revolution.
Discover authentic Revolutionary War artifacts and memorabilia and learn what life was really like for the men and women who shaped our nation's history. Explore the food that sustained soldiers on the battlefield, see what a militia member carried into battle, and uncover how plants were used for nutrition and medicine.
Experience history in action with the 13th Continental Regiment as they demonstrate military life, including bullet making, the purpose of the powder horn, and live musket firing demonstrations.
Enjoy the sounds of the Revolution with period music and watch talented artisans bring the colonial era to life. Meet a blacksmith, potter, candle maker, tinsmith, chocolatier, spinners, rug braiders, weavers, and calligraphers as they demonstrate the essential trades and skills that supported the colonies. Families can also learn about traditional colonial games and crafts hands-on throughout the afternoon.
Don't miss this exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and stories of America's founding. Join us at the Peter H. Peirce Homestead as we celebrate 250 years of liberty with an afternoon of history, heritage, and fun for all ages!
