Veterans Service Events

The fundraising activities that are part of the three entities associated with our nonprofit have positioned us to support events presented by the Veterans Service Agent. In FY'2024, the Library Director requested that the Friends provide additional funds so that the Children's Librarian could procure more outdoor games. The Friends obtained these funds via a grant which focused on supporting veterans in the local community and covered not only the costs of items that are permanent assets of the library but also covered the rental cost of two jump houses. 

Pictured here are the Children's Librarian who was promoting the upcoming Summer Reading program funded by the Friends, various members of the Friends' Board of Directors who assumed a variety of duties throughout the day in order to assist the Veterans Agent and representatives from Town Government.
